Business Rewards are B⭐'s way of thanking Business Owners for the roleplay they provide, and their continued financial support of the server.
Business Rewards can take a variety of forms. While scripting and other limitations govern some suggestions, the scope for rewards is still vast, ranging from new products to a completely different company name. There are, however, a few requirements that must be met for a business to be eligible for a reward.
For a Business Owner to be eligible for their first Business Reward, they must have owned their business for at least thirty (30) days from the day it was awarded. In addition, the Business Owner must have met their required hours for that month. Requests for changes before the thirty-day requirement has been met will only be considered if the business cannot function properly without the changes. For example, the MLO is causing people to fall into the void, one of the cooking stations is missing, the fridge vanished, there is no distro access, etc.
Business owners must clock in for a minimum of seven (7) hours every two (2) weeks.
Business Owners who meet these requirements and provide great role-play to the city are rewarded with changes or upgrades to their business. Business Requests are limited to one change per month (excluding business fixes).
No. Business Rewards may be denied for several reasons:
New Business - If the business has been owned for less than thirty (30) days, the Business Team will request that the owner wait unless the change addresses a currently unworkable aspect of the business.
Inactive Business - The Business Team conducts regular audits to ensure requirements are being met. Business Owners who fail to meet the minimum time requirements will be ineligible for Business Rewards. Why? Continued inactivity will result in the business being repossessed, and any new owner might want to take it in a different direction; this would waste valuable development time that could have been used elsewhere on the server.
Non-Sensical Requests - Business Rewards that don't make sense for the business will be denied. For example, Dave runs a restaurant out in Sandy, and he requests access to mechanic tools and the ability to repair cars. Dave runs a restaurant. Why is he fixing cars when there is an excellent garage next door? His Business Reward would conflict with an existing business and the fundamental food-selling purpose of his. It would be declined unless he had the best reasoning on the planet!
Workload - Each Business Reward requires time, and some requests necessitate a substantial amount of time. Requesting a completely new system or script that needs work beyond adding a new food item may be denied permanently or temporarily, depending on the developer's availability. Business Rewards may also be placed on hold temporarily if the workload demands it.

FOOD CHANGES - Restaurants, or other businesses where it would make logical sense to sell food items (such as gas stations or cinemas), can request changes to their menus. Here are some suggestions:
BUSINESS CHANGES - Players like to make a business feel like it's their own. For many, changing the company name can help achieve this, but a new owner may not want their business named after the previous owner. This is just one example of a business change, here are a few more:

VEHICLE CHANGES - Each business has access to a garage and a van for disto runs. Business Owners can request changes to their business garage and available cars as a Business Reward. Here are a few suggestions:
EVENT SUPPORT REQUESTS - These are usually quick and simple; they require very little developer work, and events provide the whole community with entertainment. Here are some suggestions:
Yes and no. For example, MLO requests will only be considered after a business has been owned for three months or more. Why? Changing an MLO can affect much more than the business it contains. Conflicts can cause people to fall through the map, areas of invisibility, and other issues that impact the whole server. There are additional costs associated with it, as asset imports incur a fee; more information about importing assets can be found in our B⭐Asset Submission Guidelines. The same applies to changes to the MLO; some are open-source, and changes can be made, while others are not. However, both require developer work and time, and significantly impact the business, which is why they are available to long-term owners, not new owners. This rule is waived if the current MLO is affecting the owner's ability to run their business.
Generally speaking, requests/rewards that significantly alter businesses and cannot be easily reverted (if ownership changes) will be denied if they have not been owned for three months or more.
